After almost a year, a dusty and bumpy road rebuilding project in Red Bank is on track for completion this week, the borough’s consulting engineer said Wednesday.
Nobody would call West Front Street into and out of Red Bank a dream commute. And here’s another reason to avoid it, if you can: lane closures to allow for the installation by New Jersey Natural Gas of an eight-inch gas line between Morford Place and Rector Place.
West Front Street in Red Bank will be closed between Maple Avenue and Broad Street Tuesday night beginning at 8 p.m. to enable road repairs between Boathouse Court and Broad, police Chief Darren McConnell tells redbankgreen. Detours will be in effect, and motorists are advised to plan ahead.

Just a year after a re-engineering aimed at reducing accidents, a dangerous Rumson intersection is getting another reworking.
