An 18-year-old Red Bank man has been charged with vehicular homicide following an automobile crash in Middletown that killed a passenger in his car two months ago.
Adam Sofio was already facing drunk driving, speeding and other charges in the aftermath of the crash that killed Middletown’s Paul Bradley, also 18, in the early morning hours of February 27, the prosecutor’s office says in a press release issued Monday.
A 27-year-old Little Silver man is in the Monmouth County jail following his arrest at home Tuesday for possession with the intent to sell the painkiller Oxycodone, the county prosecutor’s office announced Thursday.
A Middletown man was also arrested during the search of Jonathan R. Merklinger’s home “after he approached the residence and sought to purchase” from Merklinger, according to the announcement.

Bookkeeper Rebecca Cirillo was sentenced to five years in state prison last Friday for ripping off a Red Bank business of more than $400,000, the Monmouth County Prosecutor‘s office announced Friday.
The 34-year-old Atlantic Highlands resident was also ordered by a Superior Court judge in Freehold to reimburse the publishing and advertising firm Ansorge Unlimited to the tune of $291,000.

Governor Chris Christie has nominated Peter Warshaw Jr. to succeed Luis Valentin as Monmouth County Prosecutor, according to reports by the Associated Press and Asbury Park Press.
