Nine members of the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Field Hockey team have been recognized for their academic achievements by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

In a recent announcement, RFH student athletes Anna Babiak, Kara Dixon, Bridget Fitzgerald, Margaret Jennings, Madison Maguire, Kiera McKay, Gabrielle Ramirez, Maisie Sapnar, and Katherine Sustick were named to the 2015 NFHCA/Keith Waldman – Optimal Performance Associates High School National Academic Squad.

Fourteen student-athletes from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School took part in National Signing Day 2015 on Wednesday, November 11. Surrounded by proud coaches and family members, they signed their National Letters of Intent at a 10 am event held in the RFH Lower Library.

The National Letter of Intent serves as a binding agreement between student-athletes and Division I and II programs at National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) colleges and universities.

RFH GIRLS, ALREADY CHAMPS, AIM HIGHER

Fresh off capturing the Group 2 State Championship Saturday, Rumson-Fair Haven’s field hockey team notched a 6-0 win over Shore Regional in the play-in game of the Tournament of Champions at Rider University Tuesday. 

Madison Maguire banged in four goals, highlighted by a first-half hat trick, with Lily Croddick and Abigail Donohue also scoring. Shore Sports Zone has the highlights.

RFH advances to a matchup with #1 seed and unbeaten Eastern on Wednesday at 6:30 pm in Lawrenceville.  The Bulldogs are the  with a 24-0-2 record. (Video courtesy of Shore Sports Zone.)

RFH GIRLS ONE WIN AWAY FROM STATE CROWN

Fresh off its Shore Conference Tournament championship, Rumson-Fair Haven’s field hockey team crushed Manasquan, 7-0, at home in the Central Jersey Group 2 semifinals Wednesday. Rich Chrampanis’  video-based website, Shore Sports Zone, has the highlights, including a monster scoring blast by Madison Maguire.

They recently captured their fourth consecutive championship in the highly competitive “Central A” Division with undefeated conference play.
