A BUC BACKER BASH ON THE BANKS

BucBackerKim Brockway, Judy Bonanno (both Shrewsbury) and Lu White (Union Beach) are only in it for the Bucs, as the RBR Buc Backer Foundation members get busy planning the annual Buc Backer Bash, scheduled for September 13 at Red Bank’s Monmouth Boat Club.

Time was, a boatload of buccaneers might have been repelled from the shore by a brigade of brave townsfolk. On Saturday, September 13, however, some energetic members of the community will be cheering on the Bucs from the banks of the Navesink, as the RBR Buc Backer Foundation hosts the 2014 edition of the annual Buc Backer Bash.

Between the hours of 7 to 10 pm, the historic Monmouth Boat Club at 31 Union Street in Red Bank will be the scenic setting for an event that offers live music, food and adult beverages — all included in the cost of admission — as well as games and basket raffles. And, as always, proceds from ticket and raffle sales support the programs of the Red Bank Regional School District.
