RED BANK: SUSPECT CHARGED IN SHOOTING

Red Bank police arrested a 24-year-old suspect wanted in a shooting at a hair salon in which no one was injured three months ago, they said Thursday.

According to a statement by Captain Mike Frazee, police arrested Oliver Romero-Nava Wednesday in Long Branch and charged him with aggravated assault and weapons charges stemming from an incident that occurred May 19.

Two Tinton Falls men were arrested on weapons, drug and other charges by Red Bank police after a motor vehicle pursuit that ended with crashes and foot chase late Monday night, police said Tuesday.

RED BANK: FIVE FACE GUN, DRUG CHARGES

Four Red Bank men and a juvenile were arrested on weapons and drug charges after police stopped their car outside borough hall Sunday night, police said Tuesday.

The arrests followed a motorist’s report that he was being followed by men who had “brandished a handgun in a threatening manner” toward him a short while earlier.

RED BANK: STOP LEADS TO WEAPONS CHARGES

A traffic stop led to the arrest of 22-year-old Red Bank man for possession of a handgun loaded with highly lethal ammunition earlier this week, borough police said Friday.

RED BANK: MAN FACING WEAPONS CHARGES

A Tinton Falls man is facing weapons charges after he brought a handgun loaded with armor-piercing bullets into Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank last month, police Chief Darren McConnell told redbankgreen Wednesday.

The suspect, Wesley Rucker, age 34, was also charged with impersonating a federal law enforcement official.

RED BANK COUPLE BURGLARIZED, SHOT AT

A Red Bank couple was assaulted and shot at in an early-morning burglary and pursuit early Thursday Friday morning, police say.

According to Captain Darren McConell, five men, at least two of them carrying handguns, forced their way in through the front door of a condominium on Tower Hill, off Prospect Avenue, at about 2 a.m.

RED BANK RAID NETS DRUGS, LOADED GUN

call-in-the-authoritiesRed Bank police arrested five adults on narcotics and other charges in a raid on Spring Street apartment Wednesday evening, the department announced Thursday.

A loaded handgun, drugs and cash were confiscated in the execution of a search warrant at the apartment, said Captain Darren McConnell.

The raid was the was the culmination of an investigation conducted by Sergeatnt Robert Clayton into narcotic distribution at the residence, McConnell sai.
