hot topic red bank njIncreased police activity at the scene of a shootout in Red Bank earlier this week led to the arrests of three men late Wednesday night, police said Thursday.

The incident, however, “does not appear to be linked to the shooting,” in which two men exchanged gunfire, landing one of them in the hospital, Captain Mike Frazee told redbankgreen.

At least eight shots are known to have been exchanged in the shootout at Montgomery Terrace Apartments, Captain Mike Frazee told redbankgreen.

No one was injured in the incident, which occurred around 1 p.m. on West Sunset Avenue between Leighton and Shrewsbury avenues, Chief Darren McConnell told redbankgreen.

Chief Darren McConnell told redbankgreen Wednesday night that police recovered two shell casings from the scene of the 4:15 p.m. incident, on Tilton Avenue near West Bergen Place.

RUMSON: SHOTS LEAD TO CONTEMPT CHARGE

AUTHORITIES_RUMSON2A Philadelphia man was in custody Monday after firing a pistol inside a Rumson residence Sunday night, police said.

But Robert Toros, 36, was charged with contempt of court and not for any violations relating to the discharge of the gun, though additional charges may be brought, Detective Chris Isherwood told redbankgreen Monday.

RUMSON: GUNFIRE IN HOME INVESTIGATED

AUTHORITIES_RUMSON2Rumson police were questioning two people Sunday night following an incident in which a gun was fired multiple times inside the basement of a home here.

No one was injured in the incident, which came less than 24 hours after a domestic dispute at the same address, on Auldwood Lane, Chief Scott Paterson told redbankgreen.
