Criminal Mischief: On 09/06/2023 a patrol unit reported graffiti. In the area of Shrewsbury Av., a building was tagged with black in color spray paint. Ptl. Preston Mellaci.

Theft: A patrol unit took a report of theft from a motor vehicle in the area of Leighton Av. On 09/09/2023 the victim reported a TD Bank Visa debit card and a black and white in color umbrella were stolen from a vehicle. Ptl. Grace Maggiulli.

Theft: A patrol unit took a report of theft in the area of Shrewsbury Av. On 08/02/2023 the owner of a vehicle reported the theft of a catalytic converter which was valued between $1100.00 and $1800.00. Ptl Jeffrey Lewandowski.

3/4- A Lake Ave resident reported receiving a bill from Sprint in the amount $3,686.34 for a cell phone bill. Resident reported that he nor his family members had been customers of Sprit Mobile. Fraud report was completed by S/O Michael Volker.

02/1 – Patrols were dispatched to Fair Haven Fields for a reported theft. Upon arrival they were met by the victim who reported that an unknown actor(s) had broken the rear window of her vehicle and taken and bag containing personal items. Ptl. Brooks Robinson took the report.

02/3 – Joseph Radic, 45, Colts Neck was placed under arrest subsequent to a motor vehicle stop and charged with Driving while intoxicated. Mr. Radic also received citations for Speeding, Reckless driving, Failure to maintain lane and refusal to submit to breath samples. Subject was later released pending a court appearance. Ptl. William Lagrotteria was the arresting Officer.

Mr. Chandler was charged with Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug paraphernalia. Mr. Aronne was transported to HDQS were he was processed and later released pending a court appearance of 09/22 at Fair Haven Municipal Court. Ptl. William Lagrotteria was the arresting Officer.

• 9/2- Two area juveniles were arrested with possession of alcohol under age. They were transported to HDQS and released to the custody of their parents. Ptl. William Lagrotteria was the arresting Officer.

Featuring the participation of three special guest artist-judges — the spraycan specialists known as Demer, Rain and Kasso — the event takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Sunday, October 13, at Colorest Art Supplies in Red Bank.

If so, and grafitti rankles you, dial up the cops.

The department is on the lookout for two young men they say vandalized the jewelry shop and nearby salon Chelsea Morning early Thursday, and may have been involved in another graffiti act.

TEENS BUSTED FOR ROOFTOP GRAFFITI

Two local teenagers were arrested in Red Bank Thursday after being caught spray-painting a downtown building, police said.

Thomas Ley, 18, of Rumson, was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespassing, Captain Darren McConnell said. A 17-year-old male from Red Bank was also arrested and charged with the same crimes, McConnell said.

Police are also looking into whether the two may be involved in increased graffiti incidents within the borough the last two months.
