Not much larger than a typical single-family home, a planned addition to Red Bank’s Parker Family Health Center will significantly boost the free clinic’s caregiving capacity, officials said Thursday.

It will also provide the “summation” of a vision long held by center’s founder, he told a gathering at a groundbreaking ceremony.

LINCROFT: BCC TO GRADUATE OVER 2,100

On May 12, Brookdale Community College will honor four outstanding local residents and more than 2,100 local students, during the college’s 47th annual commencement ceremony on the Lincroft campus.

A total of 2,141 students are expected to graduate from Brookdale this year, with diplomas handed out during two ceremonies (at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.) inside the Robert J. Collins Arena. The graduating class of 2017 earned a total of 2,159 degrees, and includes 30 students with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Select graduates will also be presented with the college’s 2016-17 Outstanding Student Award.

RED BANK: RIVERVIEW UNVEILS CANCER WING

riverview-oncology-101516riverview-oncology-110216-1A new 29,000-square-foot oncology center, including the dramatic 3,700-square-foot lobby above and at right, debuted at Red Bank’s Riverview Medical Center Wednesday night, helped into existence by a $3 million donation by Carol Stillwell of Colts Neck. Philadelphia firm BTK Architects designed the $35 million project, which includes two new TrueBeam linear accelerators for radiotherapy and 22 beds for inpatient care.
