SHREWSBURY: PAIR CHARGED IN ATM SCHEME
Shrewsbury police arrested two men on fraud-related charges after they rigged a bank ATM machine with data-stealing equipment Sunday, redbankgreen has learned.
Drini Kupi, 26, and Mejdina Miodrag, 32, both of Ridgewood, New York, were apprehended. A third suspect, seen in the surveillance photo at right and and below, is being sought by police, Lieutenant Bob Turner said in a prepared statement.
BANK TO DEPOSIT ITSELF ON BROAD STREET

In recent decades, the white stone building at 73 Broad Street has been a home to many financial service companies: Provident Savings Bank, Prudential Securities, then Wachovia Securities, and most recently, Wells Fargo Bank.
The pattern resumes this spring with the expected arrival of OceanFirst Bank.
RED BANK WOMAN DIES AFTER ACCIDENT
A 27-year-old Red Bank woman died after being struck by a vehicle while walking in a Middletown parking lot Monday morning, township police said.
Janet Ramos-Morales, whose street address was not immediately given, was hit at 11:24 in the lot of the Bank of America branch at the intersection of Route 35 and Navesink River Road, the MTPD said in an announcement issued late Monday night.

The shareholders of Rumson-Fair Haven Bank & Trust have spoken, and they apparently arent all that worried that hedge fund honcho George Hall is going to turn the their well-heeled area into a Pottersville.
Hall is the founder of investment firm Clinton Group, which has more than $2.5 billion in assets under management, according to its website. On May 11, he won his battle to remove William Barrett as chairman of of the five-branch bank after an independent judge finalized the results of the banks annual shareholder vote. Hall is replacing Barrett on the board, and a new chairman is set to be chosen when the banks directors meet on Monday.
While the area is undoubtedly a far cry from Bedford Falls, the fictional setting of the classic movie “Its a Wonderful Life,” Barrett had reportedly likened Hall to Henry Potter, the films villain, amid criticism by Hall that the bank wasnt doing enough local lending.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT: RED BANK
Red Bank’s National Night Out celebration, a sun-soaked evening held in the borough hall parking lot, featured many fixings of a community coming together: a walk around town, tours of the police station, games, a handshake with a cop or two and char-grilled burgers.
Cops did it all Tuesday night. They flipped burgers, ran fingerprints, put the “drunk goggles” on golf cart-drivers and monitored the speed of young flamethrowers tossing a baseball.

RED BANK MAN COPS TO TWO BANK JOBS
A Red Bank man admitted in federal court in Trenton Monday that he robbed a Fair Haven bank last August and another one a week later in Cranford.
Wilfred A. Dunn Jr., no address given, faces up to 20 years for each robbery, according to documents filed in connection with the plea.
According to an FBI agent’s statement in court records, Dunn entered a TD Bank branch on River Road in Fair Haven last August 20 and passed a teller a note that said, “I have a loaded gun in my bag. Just give me the money and nobody gets hurt. 20s, 50s and 100s.”
FAIR HAVEN BANK ROBBED

Fair Haven police are searching for a suspect who robbed a bank on River Road Monday afternoon.
The suspect, believed to be a Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old, went into PNC Bank at around 3:30 yesterday and demanded money, Lieutenant Joseph McGovern said in a statement.
M’TOWN MAN CHARGED WITH CHECK FRAUD
A Middletown man was arrested yesterday on check-kiting charges that authorities say defrauded a Shrewsbury bank branch of nearly $93,000.
Sandy Masselli, 48, was held on $100,000 bail and ordered to surrender his passport as a condition of being released, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s office, which announced the arrest Thursday afternoon.
