The Center for Visual Arts building at Brookdale Community College hosts a Wednesday evening reception for the annual Teen Arts Festival, during which Monmouth Arts formally introduces its new exec director, Teresa Staub.
Press release from Monmouth Arts
The Board of Trustees at Monmouth Arts has announced Teresa Staub as the nonprofit organization’s new executive director, in an appointment that became effective on February 23.
A professional who has worked in development and leadership positions in the nonprofit sector for over 25 years, Staub replaces longtime executive director Mary Eileen Fouratt, who now serves as a Program Officer for the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
Staub joins Monmouth Arts from Manasquan’s Algonquin Arts Theatre, where she served as senior development director for over six years. She has also worked as the development director of the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Ocean Township, and New Jersey Repertory Company in Long Branch.
Familiar with the cultural institutions and artistic community in Monmouth County, she also brings expertise in fundraising, community outreach, and administration. Prior to her work in the arts, Staub worked for the American Cancer Society for 11 years, where she served as executive director of the Ocean County Unit.
“I am truly grateful to work for an organization that sustains and creates opportunities for the arts to flourish in Monmouth County,” said the new executive director of the Red Bank-based organization.
Monmouth Arts invites the public to join in Teresa Staub, at the 2017 Monmouth Teen Arts Festival Opening Reception on Wednesday, March 15.
Scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. inside the Center for Visual Arts (CVA) Gallery on the Lincroft campus of Brookdale Community College, the reception will also showcase the skills of three incredibly talented schools in the disciplines of Dance, Creative Writing, Poetry, and Choir. Nearly 2,000 students are expected to attend the 2017 festival on Thursday and Friday, March 16 and 17.
Refreshments and appetizers, compliments of Mumford’s Café in Tinton Falls, will be served at the free Wednesday evening event. Reception guests are invited to explore the hallways of the CVA building, to enjoy the visual art that will be on display from the 30 schools in attendance this year.
