Philadelphia firm BTK Architects designed the $35 million project, which includes two new TrueBeam linear accelerators for radiotherapy and 22 beds for inpatient care.

“We’ve always held to the philosophy that people want to receive their cancer care in their home community rather than travel miles, which is physically taxing and emotionally taxing,” hospital president Tim Hogan told redbankgreen. The new facility, couple with a staffing an partnership build-up in recent years, will increase Riverview’s capacity for cancer patient care by about 40 percent, he said. (Photo by John T. Ward.
