Life Vest Inside, a non-profit organization on a mission to empower and unite the world with kindness, is organizing its fifth annual World Wide “Dance for Kindness” event to take place on November 13, when local residents and schools will unite with over 100 locations spanning across 50 countries to promote kindness, compassion and empathy.

One of the schools participating in the Dance for Kindness is the Red Bank Charter School.  Ekaterina (Kate) Bronshteyn, a dance instructor at Little Silver Ballroom has been participating in the Dance for Kindness since 2014, and this year is one of the parents teaching RBCS students the dance during gym class.

“This is the first year as an instructor for the Dance for Kindness that we are bringing the dance to a school, so that all students have the opportunity to join in on this amazing event,” says Kate.  “I love that Little Silver Ballroom is community oriented and that Red Bank Charter School supports what this dance stands for…kindness and humanity, and joining people together.”

“Dancing for Kindness on Broad Street in Red Bank has become an annual tradition,” explains Terese Rölke, New Jersey’s DFK Group Leader for the past four years. “Everyone absolutely loves the positive experience.”

“Last year, over 12,000 people across the globe danced the same dance, to the same song, on the same day,” she adds. “It is inspiring to visit one of the local schools that is participating, such as Red Bank Charter School, and watch the students learn the dance.”

Red Bank played an important role in the origins of the Life Vest Inside – Kindness Boomerang video “One Day,” created five years ago by Eatontown resident Orly Wahba. Reminding us of how a simple act of kindness can change the life of another, Orly’s YouTube video has eaned over 100 million views today.

The 2016 Dance for Kindness flash mob dance will take place at the corner of Broad and White Street in Red Bank, at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 13.  To register to dance, visit www.lifevestinside.com/dfk/register-to-dance.
