RED BANK: PBC HELPS WITH FLOOD CLEANUP

From now through October 30, Pilgrim Baptist Church of Red Bank, (172 Shrewsbury Ave) in conjunction with the Lott Carey Foundation, is sponsoring a Cleaning Supplies Drive to assist families recovering from floods in our southern states.

Residents are encouraged to bring donations of needed items to the church at 172 Shrewsbury Avenue, between 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. The most needed items include bleach, antibacterial soap, baby wipes, hand wipes, trash bags, disinfectant, and plastic gloves. Also welcomed will be donations of non-perishable foods, toothpaste, soap, children’s underwear and socks.  

All items must be new and unopened. Collection period extends through Sunday, October 30, and the collected items will be shipped out on November 4 through the coordination of Pilgrim, Lott Cary and local houses of worship in the affected areas.

Pilgrim is also collecting monetary donations to assist in the recovery effort in the southwestern portion of the nation of Haiti.  The assistance effort is being coordinated by the Lott Carey International Mission, and financial support will be utilized for distribution of food, water, cholera tablets, mosquito nets and hygiene supplies for displaced families in the area’s of Port-Au-Prince and Cape Haitian.
