RBC TOPS NORTH; RBR STOPS MATAWAN

Week two of the 2016 high school football season on the Greater Red Bank Green produced a pair of nail-biters Friday night.

A last-minute field goal put Red Bank Catholic over Middletown North, 30-27 in a game that saw Zach Bair rack up 167 ground yards and three touchdowns. The Caseys are now 1-1.

On the road at Matawan, the Red Bank Regional Buccaneers delivered a clutch performance on defense for a 17-14 win and their first win of the season. Chris Outterbridge posted 12 tackles and two sacks for the Bucs.
