A documentary about people who eat white dirt adds some grit to the first full day of the Indie Street Film Festival. 

Scandalously long, beautiful legs. A guy with a compulsion for commandeering buses and trains. Geophagy, or dirt-eating.

These and other delightfully strange and wondrous topics fill the schedule of Red Bank’s Indie Street Film Festival as it enters its first full day of screenings and other events Thursday.

3:30 p.m. Bow Tie Cinemas “Day Six”

Carmen, a young actress, is trapped between the love she feels for Pablo and her marriage with Joaquín, Pablo’s best friend. When she learns she’s fallen ill, she decides to embark on a trip with one of them, which will change all of their lives forever. In Spanish.

Darius McCollum, the subject of the documentary “Off the Rails,” which has its New Jersey premiere at the festival.

4 p.m. Two River Theater “Off the Rails”

The remarkable true story of Darius McCollum, a man with Asperger’s syndrome, whose overwhelming love of transit has landed him in jail 32 times for impersonating New York City bus drivers and subway conductors and driving their routes.

 Jamian’s hosts a happy hour for thirsty cinephiles.

Passholders are invited to come in and cool off with a cold beer compliments of Flying Fish Brewery and Jamian’s. Local live music on the back patio daily. Get your festival pass to join the fun. No tickets necessary, just show your pass at the door.

After a major crisis, a man attempts to track down his “first love,” only to discover she was killed many years ago in a car accident. Stumbling online upon her younger sister, a musician who bears a striking resemblance, he obsesses and begins a relationship without disclosing his true identity.

The Molly Pitcher Inn serves as the setting for an outdoor screening.

7 p.m. Molly Pitcher Inn promenade Sony Pictures Classics Presents Indie Under the Stars Audience Choice

Sony Pictures Classics presents an Indie Film promenade overlooking the Navesink River. A perfect summer night with PopChips and Flying Fish Beer, we let the audience chose between five memorable Indie films from Sony Pictures: “Welcome To The Dollhouse,” “SLC Punk,” “The Wackness,” “Moon” and “Junebug.” Check Facebook for voting choices.
