LITTLE SILVER: MILESTONE FOR RELAY EVENT

Two Rivers Relay for LifePress release from Red Bank Regional High School

On Friday, May 20, Red Bank Regional High School will be the setting once more, as the school’s Little Silver campus hosts the tenth annual edition of the Two Rivers Relay for Life.

A fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs for the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life is a community-driven project that involves students, residents and employees from Red Bank, Shrewsbury, Little Silver, Fair Haven, Rumson, Oceanport, Sea Bright and Monmouth Beach. RBR has hosted the signature fundraising event for the ACS since its inception.

Registration for this year’s themed event “Relay Around the World” begins at 5 p.m. at the RBR track facility, located on the grounds of the high school at 101 Ridge Road in Little Silver. Opening ceremonies take place at 7 p.m.

Everyone engaged in the mission to cure cancer is invited to participate in this evening of fun activities, entertainment and inspiration. Come to walk, jog or run throughout the night keeping this vigil — just as cancer never sleeps, neither will we. Those interested in participating can visit the Two Rivers Relay website, email Zach.Sayre@cancer.org  or call (732)292-4264.
