Fans lined the boards and the upper terrace of the Navesink Country Club in Middletown Saturday night for the annual Winter Classic hockey game, pitting Red Bank Catholic against Rumson-Fair Haven. Connor Deverin and Robbie Garavante scored two goals apiece as the Bulldogs jumped out to a 4-2 lead after two periods and held on to win, 7-5. Evan Hoey became RBC’s all-time leading scorer in the loss, when his third goal of the night got him to 142 career points. Shore Sports Zone has the video highlights.
