Details are below…

At Lunch Break, on Drs. James Parker Boulevard, volunteers are lined up and the menu is set for all who show up Thursday, volunteer coordinator Peg Rizzo tells PieHole.

Yes, the kitchen and dining room at the building named for founder Norma Todd are once again reunited and operating, having been temporarily relocated for the past two months to the First Presbyterian Church of Tower Hill kitchen for cooking and the AME Zion Church for serving. The dsiplacement was the result of construction on a new wing at Lunch Break.

The first meal of the day will begin at 11 a.m., and 26 volunteers will continue to carve turkey and dish out all of the trimmings until 2 p.m., Rizzo said.

On Broad Street, Surf Taco will also be offering free meals to those in need, said manager Joe Garafsa. Turkey tacos and side dishes will be available from noon to 4 p.m. He also wanted to alert those who will be working Thanksgiving Day that they are welcome to come by and have a hot meal, too, at no charge.

(JBJ Soul Kitchen, on Monmouth Street, is closed Thursday and Friday.)

Are there other local restaurants or institutions serving free meals on Thanksgiving? Please add places and times in comments.
