SOCKED WITH SNOW

Winds were driving moderate if freezing temperatures down to the low teens shortly after 4a today, when redbankgreen took a quick spin through downtown Red Bank.
By 5:30, there was water running in the gutters even as snow continued to fall.
Plows and shovelers were out, but many local streets hadn’t yet been cleared of what appeared to be about nine inches of snow.
Here’s what the National Weather Service says is in store today:
Today: Snow before 7am, then snow showers and areas of blowing
snow before noon, then areas of blowing snow and scattered snow showers
after noon. High near 29. Blustery, with a north wind between 21 and 23
mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of
2 to 4 inches possible.
