IN oRBit: BAVARO TACKLES FICTION
As a tight end for the New York Giants, Mark Bavaro lived up to the team name: he once dragged what seemed to be the entire defensive backfield of the San Francisco 49ers 20 yards downfield after a catch. With his soft hands and ability to take a pummeling, he helped the Giants bag two Super Bowl victories.
Bavaro’s just published a novel about character who bears some resemblance to himself, and he’ll be making his first-ever visit to the Jersey Shore at 1p this Saturday when he stops in at River Road Books in Fair Haven for a signing.
