Dal Par has been working as baseball coach at Ocean Township High for the past nine seasons, the Press says.

From the story:

“I’ve been looking to move into administration for the past three or four years,” Dal Pra said. “Red Bank Regional is the perfect fit. I live in Red Bank. From my door to the front door of the school is exactly one mile.”

Ocean went 175-76 under Dal Pra, winning NJSIAA Central Jersey Group III championships in 2006 and 2007.

The Spartans won the Shore Conference Tournament championship in 2006 (finishing the year ranked No.‚1 at the Shore by the Asbury Park Press), the Monmouth County Tournament title in 2002 and 2003, and four Shore Conference divisional titles in 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2006. Ocean had six 20-win seasons under Dal Pra.

Ocean’s 2006 team, led by catcher Keith Weinkofsky, the Shore Conference’s all-time career home run leader with 30, advanced to the Group III championship game. They were defeated, 11-7, by Morristown in that game.

Prior to coaching at Ocean, Dal Pra served as the head coach for two seasons at Henry Hudson and one at Ocean County College. Henry Hudson advanced to the Central Jersey Group I championship game in Dal Pra’s first season in 1996.

Dal Pra, who graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School in 1984, where he was the captain for both the baseball and football teams his senior year, said he will miss coaching.
